Green Digital Innovations LLC, doing business as Calico Systems, is a Western Pennsylvania technology partner built on a simple belief: no two people or organizations are the same.
A childhood dream, brought to life.
Long before there was a brand, there was Matt Green — a kid who liked making technology kinder and clearer for the people around him. "I always wanted to run a tech company that felt human," he says. "Clear answers, steady follow-through, and respect for people's time."
In 2023, that dream took shape as Green Digital Innovations. It was scrappy and personal, built on listening first and solving the problem in front of you. Those early years set the foundation for everything that followed: relationships over buzzwords, documentation that anyone can understand, and a local mindset that turns support into a partnership.
By 2025, the work had outgrown the name. The company became Calico Systems, a reflection of something Matt had believed since day one: no two people or organizations are the same.
The new name comes from a calico cat — Whiskers, Matt's cat — whose one-of-a-kind pattern inspired a one-of-a-kind approach. "Whiskers was always a unique cat, from her personality to her coat. Just like no two clients are the same," Matt says. "We build to fit the people in front of us."
